This new interactive map tracks reparations initiatives and movement partners, demonstrating the scope, power, and success of the local reparations movement.
Organizations and campaigns included on the map are diverse across liable institutions, harm areas and more, but share a common goal of advancing reparations.
Informing Local Reparations, Nationally
FirstRepair seeks a just society where Black people are liberated, thriving, and repaired through a robust and sustainable movement for state and local reparations. We work nationally to educate and equip leaders, stakeholders, and allies who are advancing local reparations policies that remedy historic and ongoing anti-Black practices.
National Urban League’s feature of Robin Rue Simmons and the work of other leaders and community organizers who are rallying around the local and national fight for reparations.
It is a fight to acknowledge, honor, and heal generations of people who endured bondage, suffering, and systemic racism.
